Baby Leidy has arrived...

Baby Leidy has finally arrived!!

We were scheduled to come in for an induction on Monday October 18th, and were expecting our little one to arrive sometime on the 19th. However our lil bundle of joy had his own ideas.

I was working my last weekend before maternity leave. Saturday night I started with some contractions..but thought they would go away, just like they had been all week. However by 5:00 AM they were consistently 5-7 minutes apart. I drove home by 7:30 after my shift was over, Called my OB and she said come on in. Informed Shawn we would be going to the hospital.

We got to the hospital by 9AM..by 9:30AM they decided to admit me. Things went fairly quickly. Got my epidural by 1PM. I was 8-9 CM at 3PM. We were just waiting for that magic number 10!! By 6-6:30 PM we began pushing.

October 17th, 2010 @ 8:22PM our little bundle of Joy arrived:

IT'S a BOY!!!

Evan Matthew Leidy

8 lbs. 4 oz.

20 1/2 inches long

I was pleasantly surprised as I thought we were having a little girl..but daddy kept saying it was going to be a boy. Daddy was right.

We are all doing well. Adjusting to our new little boy!! as well as Rocky is adjusting too.

I will attempt to keep updating now that Evan has arrived.

I think it's time for an UPDATE..

It has been quite a while since I have written on here. Lots has happened since my last post a year ago!! Shawn and I are expecting our First baby. We are due October 26th...however he/she will be arriving sometime on the 19th or 20th. We will be going in Monday night October 18th for our induction. We can't wait. Excited and Nervous at the same time.

Everyone is anxiously awaiting to see if there is a baby boy or baby girl arriving. And even more so everyone is looking forward to finding out the names, as we are not sharing them with anyone until our little one arrives.


We got maternity photos taken two weeks ago. We didn't think we would actually get them done due to rain for our first scheduled photo session. Our make-up session however was a BEAUTIFUL day. Here's a sneak peak:

Shawn has also gotten a new job. He started back in June at Faulkner Subaru in Bethlehem. He is the Internet Sales Coordinator. He loves his job and everyone he works with.

We also celebrated our 2 year wedding Anniversary on June 21st. We had a nice weekend getaway. It was an amazing long weekend. We enjoyed every minute of it, as we know when this little boy/girl arrives we know we may not have many of those getaways anymore.

It was also neat. My baby bump was definately starting to show and I was getting comments from other vacationers. It was so neat to finally have stares and comments with people noticing there was a baby growing in me, not me just gaining weight.

Ok i think that has been a long enough update. I will definately post pictures of our little one
when he or she arrives!!

it's been a while..

Haven't blogged in a while. Shawn and I have been busy lil bees. We went to Florida labor day weekend for a nice lil vacation. We got to see Payton and she is so big from the last time we saw her, a year ago..WOW!!! of course we also got to see jon and jessi too. I have missed them so much. Can't wait until we see them again. But here is a picture of Payton with Uncle Shawn. Just adorable.








Anyway we have also been super busy with housework. We are just about finished the bathroom. layed some new floors down. looks amazing. now we just want to retile the shower area, still need to find someone who will do that but then the bathroom is completely remodeled. I will have to add the pictures in another post, it won't let me right now. Next we need to paint hte kitchen, narrowed it down to a few colors. then onto the dining room and living room floors. We are going to buy some new floors this weekend, rip out the carpet the following weekend and then lay the new floors down. it will look like a million bucks i'm sure. Will post pictures as we update.

More house pictures

Thought I would add some more house pictures. (especially for you roseanne) We decided to start with something small first, so we painted the bathroom. I think it turned out great. Enjoy the pictures. I will try to post some more painted rooms before and after as the week goes on. We still have our kitchen and bedroom to paint. i'd like to get it done before the end of the summer. We shall see

Our first Home

Thought I would put up some pictures of the house.

I will try to post again some of the rooms that have been all painted. i will post before and after pictures.

married life so far..

Shawn and I have just celebrated our one year anniversary!! I can't believe how fast a year flew by already! We bought our First home March 27, 2009. Our house is located in Bethlehem, PA. IT was a loooooong craqzy day of closing but by 9pm that night we finally had the keys in our hands! We moved in on the 28th of March and suprisingly we had mostly everything put away that day. So far since then we have painted our bathroom, office, and dining room. We still have our kitchen, bedroom and 2nd bedroom to paint.

We decided to take on a little project ourselves and that is making our first garden. it has been one heck of a project but it is almost done. I will post pictures of the finished product later.

I will post pictures once i figure out how to.


Thats all for today, It is my birthday today so I am going to relax.
